السُّبُّوحُ

Meaning: Allah is free of any imperfection and anything that does not befit His majesty and the One who has no partners. All creation glorifies and declares Him free of any imperfection due to His perfect and beautiful names and attributes.

Occurrence: This name is not mentioned in the Holy Qur’an but rather in the Prophet’s Sunnah.

Evidence: ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say in his bowing and prostration while praying, Subbuhun quddusun, rabb-ul-malaa’ikati warrooh “[You are] the Supremely glorified, the Holy. [You are] the Lord of the angels and of Jibreel.” (Reported by Muslim)
